A Car as a Mirror

It isn't a real mirror. It's a mirror of yourself as you want to be. The car companies spend billions advertising their cars as the cars of champions and cool guys. They create an image around their cars. Then you, dear friend, can wrap that image around yourself for a few hundred dollars a month. It is almost as if the car makers had spent all of those billions advertising you!

Of course, don't be insane about it. Don't buy more car than you can afford. Don't torment yourself with monthly payments beyond what is comfortable for you. But within the zone of financial comfort, get the car that looks the coolest.

Let's get down and dirty and honest here: We all want to be the cool kids in high school. That is our real goal in life. The easiest, fastest way to do it, for most of us, is to get a cool car. For pennies more than an ordinary, non-cool car would cost, you can get a car that makes you feel hip, slick, and cool. Try it. You'll like it. Again, prudence comes first. At some point, someone will probably collide with you. You should know that the laws of physics say that the car with the heavier weight transfers the velocity of the collision to the smaller car. So you want to be in the heavier car. And good sense tells you that you need great brakes and seat belts and airbags and all that safety equipment. But I will tell you something else. Life is really short. You don't have that much time to be cool. It is sensible to use the time you have to be cool. It just feels better.
